My friend Kristin and I drove up to the North Cascades yesterday afternoon. It was just a brief half-day trip, but we both enjoyed the journey and the sunshine. Diablo Lake is honestly the eerie shade of green you can see here, thanks to the glacial silt permeating its waters.
